Favorite Photo Locations Around New Orleans and Baton Rouge
There are so many beautiful spots around the New Orleans area for engagement photos and family sessions.
Here are just a few of my favorites for this time of year:
Fontainebleau State Park – Fountainbleau boasts some of the most beautiful sunsets over Lake Pontchartrain as well as a gorgeous grove of live oak tress. There is a beautiful beach area with cypress trees, white sand, and a marshy boardwalk nearby.
LSU Ag Center / Burden Gardens – Burden Museum & Gardens is absolutely gorgeous during Spring and Summer. With plenty of brightly colored flowers and the shady canopy of the majestic live oaks and crape myrtle trees, your photos will have the perfect backdrop. There is a rose garden as well as a small trail with lots of tropical plants. Be sure to keep up to date with the wildflower and sunflower fields too!
Capitol Building Grounds in Baton Rouge – The grounds surrounding the Capitol building offer easy access sidewalks with some simple manicured gardens. The Mississippi river nearby is a great place to go for sunset.
Adventures Along the Amite River – The Amite River is a hidden gem and has some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. If you’re up for an adventure, this location is the perfect spot for your outdoor engagement photo session or family photos. This location requires a good bit of walking and a sense of adventure.
Don’t wait to book your Spring and Summer dates! Send me a message through the CONTACT page OR email directly to gabby@gchapinstudios.com. Oh, and if you are newly engaged, come find me at the New Orleans Bride Bridal Show on February 1st. I can’t wait to meet you!
