Louisiana Wedding Vendors – The Big List for Your Big Day – Venues Outside of New Orleans

There are a lot of details that go into planning your wedding day. From the ceremony to reception, you will be working with multiple vendors and leaving no stone unturned when it comes to making your special day one to remember.

To help make things a little easier for you, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite wedding venues, this time all OUTSIDE OF NEW ORLEANS. From Baton Rouge to Alexandria, Kentwood to Amite, and the Northshore…

Louisiana Wedding Venue Highlight

LSU Ag Center and Botanical Gardens, Baton Rouge

Located just off Essen Lane by the I-10, these is hands down one of the most beautiful city venues. With lush gardens, hiking trails, a covered pavilion, fire pit, and more you truly can’t go wrong here. March, April, May, October, and November are particularly great months because the gardens are generally in prime states of blooming.

In the summer you’ll notice wildflower fields full of cosmos and zinnias as well as several large sunflower fields. The opportunities for memories to be made with your guests in a night out under the stars are endless.

The White Magnolia, Kentwood

Located on a 110 acre horse and cattle farm, The White Magnolia is a beautiful, elegant country venue that provides a mix of vintage charm and southern style.

The beautiful white barn sits atop a hill with views of the magnolia trees, open pastures, grazing cattle, and beautiful ponds below. Inside the barn, you’ll find gorgeous pine post and beams in the thirty-foot vaulted ceilings, adorned with vintage chandeliers, and pine flooring perfect for dancing the night away.

The reclaimed brick fireplace and French doors on each side add to the vintage charm, making it the perfect open space to celebrate with your guests.

The Inn at La Provence

The indoor and outdoor spaces at The Inn at La Provence will transport you and make you feel as though you’re dining and celebrating in a quaint European venue. With lush greenery and beautiful architecture, you don’t need much to make this space your own. This is the perfect venue for a romantic dinner or intimate cocktail hour.

Shaw Center for the Arts, Baton Rouge

The River Terrace at the Shaw Center for the Arts boasts an intimate setting with beautiful views of the Mississippi River and downtown landmarks.

The combined indoor and outdoor spaces can host up to 400 guests for a cocktail-style event or 300 for a seated dinner, making this a venue that serves you well no matter the weather!

The Greenery, Amite

The Greenery is a greenhouse conservatory at Liuzza Farms in Amite and one of my favorite “newer” venues! Nestled amongst the farm life, this intimate setting has lots of natural lighting, beautiful brick walls, and picturesque outdoor ceremony space with white pews and a brick aisle. The dining area hosts farmhouse-style seating with white-washed walls and a spacious dance floor.

One of the best parts about The Greenery is its inclusive option that provides catering, bar services, and decor options.

Berry Barn, Amite

Located just across the street from The Greenery is the Berry Barn. This beautiful rustic-style barn has a large open floorplan inside, perfect for a seated reception and dancing, and several outdoor options to choose from for your ceremony.

Hotel Bentley, Alexandria

One of Central Louisiana’s most elegant hotels, Hotel Bentley can accommodate wedding parties of up to 300 people in their Grand Ballroom. There are plenty of rooms for your guests to stay overnight, making it a location that is equal parts practical and lovely. The lobby is a stunning location for photos with loads of natural light and historic architectural details.

The Hilton, Baton Rouge

The Hilton hotel in Baton Rouge Capitol Center offers an elegant setting for your wedding day. With high ceilings, grand chandeliers, and arched windows, you’ll have plenty of light for photos. Your close enough to walk to the Mississippi River for photos or stroll through the tidy, quiet streets of downtown Baton Rouge. One of my favorite things about downtown BR is you get the city vibe without the city rush (versus New Orleans).

The Capitol building and gardens are just blocks away and this provides for loads of great outdoor photo opportunities.

Magnolia Manor, Osyka, Mississippi

Located just 6 miles down the road from White Magnolia, Magnolia Manor is a charming Greek Revival home with 14’ ceilings, hardwood floors, and crown molding throughout. Surrounded by graceful oaks and a huge Magnolia tree, its shaded porches and large brickk patio make the perfect space for your outdoor event.

The Manor also offers a full size apartment and two bedroom suites to accommodate overnight guests.

The Lake House, Baton Rouge

The Lake House combines old-world splendor with a touch of southern charm, nestled on 8 acres of wooded grounds with a lake on property. Whether you want to celebrate indoors, outdoors, or both, the Lake House has accommodations to suit your needs.

The Greystone, Mandeville

The Greystone offers several outdoor ceremony options with their garden oasis ceremony site, intimate gazebo, or The Greystone Pond. In case of inclimate weather, there is also the indoor Grand Ballroom option.

Bonus – The Greystone offers an all-inclusive option with a custom created menu, hors d’oeuvres, and open bar.
